A Newborn – Preview

Tristan is new to this earth and I was asked to record some images of him. Here he is less than a week old. This is one of my favorites so far – more to come.

From last weekend in Chattanooga–Magnolia tree in my parent’s front yard. I’m glad the warm weather is finally here. If you look closely, you can see the Lookout Mountain ridge-line (~12 miles) in the distance.

First Quarter – My Favorites So Far

Posted on March 14, 2010

My birthday is on Tuesday–I turn 28.  Seeing as how I’ll be out a lot this week, I wanted to go ahead and take the time to post this.  Not so much a best of, but these are images that I really like and are really close to what I saw in my mind when I first captured them.  As you can tell from my engagement sessions, the couples do a fair amount of kissing–I think it’s a good thing and (so far) everyone has enjoyed kissing their future spouse while having someone take pictures of them.

A couple of images really stand out to me–the one with downtown Nashville in the background and a couple of the ones at the Parthenon.  I favor those images over some of the other ones because they convey something really grand–to me the sense of scale is just awesome. Thanks for reading–two more events this month alone, with a lot more to write about in the coming months.  I also hope to incorporate the use of film more as well (Amberbock picture is film, not digital).

If you like any of these, want to see more, or just want to say hello, please leave a comment and let me know what’s on your mind — Paul

Nashville Engagement

Posted on March 10, 2010

Nashville engagement pictures

This shot was actually from the last engagement session I did, but I just now got around to posting this image. It’s actually 25 shots stitched together in photoshop. Robbie & Jennifer were awesome to photograph–and I had fun doing it in the freezing cold. I brought handwarmers for them, but I think Jennifer monopolized the warmth for the entire session. I’m looking forward to their wedding this summer–guaranteed to be a warm event.
