Nashville Engagement Photography: Lauren + Brent
Posted on November 20, 2010
I’ve been looking forward to sharing Lauren and Brent’s Nashville engagement photography for a while now. Their wedding will take place in June in Knoxville next year and I can’t wait to serve as their photographer. We started out in Centennial Park before relocating to a spot downtown near the War Memorial — as I mentioned in the preview post, I think it is the best spot in the entire city to watch a sunset. It was very windy, which made for much cooler temperatures after the sun went down. They asked me if it was alright to throw on their TN & AL jerseys for some pictures — I definitely didn’t have a problem with it – and loved (as a college football fan) that a couple wanted something like this. Congratulations Lauren & Brent!

Nashville Wedding: Megan + Brad
Posted on November 16, 2010
It’s been nearly a year since I met Megan and Brad for dinner at Rose Pepper in East Nashville to talk about their wedding photography. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the conversations we had about how they met (through a mutual friend at a Habitat for Humanity project) and why they make a good team.
They were married a few weeks ago at a truly amazing venue — Historic Cedarwood. This fall wedding was absolutely gorgeous and filled with so many great moments. I especially thought that the time they spent together before the ceremony – seeing each other for the first time – was something very special. You’ll notice them looking out through the blinds that are in the front room of the mansion – they’re looking at their family and friends mingling on the front lawn right before the wedding. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into their day. Congratulations Megan and Brad!

All You Need

I’m really looking forward to sharing the pictures from Megan and Brad’s wedding at Cedarwood. For now though, one more image from their day I found while applying my black and white conversion (they get a copy in color and another in monochrome). I love this picture. It happens a lot when editing a wedding that I find quite a few images where I can’t decide which version I like better — with or without color can be a hard choice sometimes. I think the source of this indecision comes from my film days in college. Though I really like this one, I can’t wait for you to see this picture with all of the vibrant yellows and oranges. Complete post to follow.

Quick image from Beth and Ron’s gorgeous Hilton Head Island wedding last weekend. Their October wedding on the beach was about as perfect as it gets. This was the first chance I’ve had to visit Hilton Head – and let’s just say I’ll have to find an excuse to get back there.

Nashville Engagement: Ashley + Jeff
Posted on November 5, 2010
Ashley and Jeff will be moving to Delaware soon. Before leaving Nashville though, they really wanted their engagement photography done here since it’s the city where they met and got engaged. That’s where Starbucks comes in — that’s the location of their first date and where their history began. We tried to hit up some iconic Nashville spots prior to ending up down by the pedestrian bridge near LP Field. Here are some of my favorite images – my absolute favorite one out of all of them is the one with the lens flare caused by some car headlights in the distance. Congratulations Ashley and Jeff on the big move and getting engaged!
