Nashville Engagement: Becky + Dustin

Posted on July 23, 2010

Becky swore to her best friend that from the first moment she saw Dustin she knew that he was ‘The One’.  I love stories like that.  They will be married next year in Nashville.  We met to do their engagement pictures recently at the Parthenon in Centennial Park and continued shooting well after the sun went down.  Swing music from a summer concert series could be heard even in the far corner of the park, and this awesome couple practiced a few moves on an outdoor stage.  Congratulations you guys—I’m looking forward to your wedding!

A Nashville Family – Samuelson

Posted on April 11, 2010

The last time I took pictures for the Samuelson family, their youngest (seen below) couldn’t even walk yet–it’s amazing how quickly children grow.  Here are a few of my favorite images from our session at Centennial Park.

Nashville engagement pictures

This shot was actually from the last engagement session I did, but I just now got around to posting this image. It’s actually 25 shots stitched together in photoshop. Robbie & Jennifer were awesome to photograph–and I had fun doing it in the freezing cold. I brought handwarmers for them, but I think Jennifer monopolized the warmth for the entire session. I’m looking forward to their wedding this summer–guaranteed to be a warm event.

Finally able to post a few images from the other engagement session I did last weekend. I’m shooting the wedding of this awesome couple this summer. You can see the Parthenon in these images, but the other pictures were shot in west Nashville. I had never done pictures at the Parthenon before, so I really wanted to convey the scale of just how huge this building is.

The one with the tree @ the end was done just after sunset and I really like it as it is a little different from everything else. The tree actually sits on state property (1/4 mile from a prison)–and we were greeted by security on our way back to our cars. No trouble though–and the resulting images turned out really great. Thanks guys for putting up with the near freezing temperatures!
