This was Lauren and Andre’s first visit to the Music City. Prior to arriving in Nashville they decided this is where they also wanted to do their engagement pictures – they emailed me and so here we are. I enjoyed spending this chilly afternoon with them as we hit up a couple of different spots prior to finishing up on Music Row (in front of Robert’s Western World actually). This awesome couple will be getting married in Canada later this year – Congratulations!

Someone I know recently said that the best light is bestowed upon windows. Even inside a 100 year old barn without any glass, I think this still holds true.

Finally able to post a few images from the other engagement session I did last weekend. I’m shooting the wedding of this awesome couple this summer. You can see the Parthenon in these images, but the other pictures were shot in west Nashville. I had never done pictures at the Parthenon before, so I really wanted to convey the scale of just how huge this building is.

The one with the tree @ the end was done just after sunset and I really like it as it is a little different from everything else. The tree actually sits on state property (1/4 mile from a prison)–and we were greeted by security on our way back to our cars. No trouble though–and the resulting images turned out really great. Thanks guys for putting up with the near freezing temperatures!

Mike Brice of Mike Brice Photography referred this awesome couple to me in order to get some engagement pictures made prior to their wedding this summer. The wedding is taking place in Ohio, but they needed the pictures taken here. We had a good time hanging around downtown Murfreesboro–here are a few of my favorites from last weekend. I said on my (now old) blog that a big change was coming.   As you’ve probably noticed, my site has been completely redesigned.  The integration of social media was important for me to connect & share content with my clients.  Also, the ability to post all of the content in one location, rather than multiple sites is very nice.  I already have quite a few events I’ll be doing this spring and summer, so should be no shortage of content to write about.  Additionally, I’ve had a few questions about how I edit my pictures, so I intend to pass on some of what I’ve learned and give an insight into what I see in my mind while I’m taking / editing pictures. 

Not all of my content has been transferred over quite yet, but I am excited about the change and wanted to go ahead and make the switch.  By next week, it should be complete though.  I thank everyone for the kind words and compliments you’ve given me and I look forward to serving more of you in the future.  If anything looks weird, doesn’t load, you’re unable to email me, or whatever–please let me know — wprowland@gmail.com is my personal email.  Also–let me know what you think about the switch–I’d love to hear your opinion.
