Ella Kate is brand new. She is Matt and Holli’s first and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their newborn child. I haven’t had the opportunity to document the beginning of life for very many people, so I definitely enjoy getting to see how small we all start out. The details in a newborn’s room are fun to photograph as well because they’re typically vibrant and full of color; also notice there is a seemingly random picture of birds and flowers here. That’s actually a rather large canvas painting that was hand-drawn & painted by Holli. Here are a dozen of my favorite images. Congratulations Matt and Holli!
Eric Yerke - I’m honestly blown away by this set. The light is so perfect for this shoot.
matt shumate - I’m not usually a big fan of newborn sessions because the focus becomes the props & not the baby. So happy to see that’s not the case here. What beautiful photos of a sweet child. Great job.
Geoff Poitras - You did an awesome job with these. The parents must have been thrilled to see these.
kristi wright - WOW. These are gorgeous!!! I love the detail shots and honestly the lighting and processing is beautiful.
Daniel Dunlap - Awesome session Paul. The last shot is tops!
Holli Hancock - Thanks again Paul…we couldn’t be happier with our pics…you’re amazing!
Liz - Nice! I love the one where she is peeking over the edge of the cushion. Very sweet….
Mama Caywood - Beaauutiful!
Heather - So gorgeous! I love that you also captured the meaningful surroundings of the new room in the home. Wonderful connection between parents and baby, great job!
