Preview–Nashville Engagement: Stacey + Justin

I met this couple about 5 months ago during the big Nashville snow.   I got a few images of them sledding with some friends, and I’m glad they took me up on my offer to do their engagement pictures.  Here are two images: one from the snow and one of them from this past weekend.  What do they have in common?  Both were shot with film.

Bowling Green Wedding Photography: Katie + Joey

Katie and Joey recently had their wedding at the historic L&N depot in Bowling Green, KY. It was a gorgeous day, and everything down to the last detail was planned perfectly (coloring books for the children? Brilliant!). They broke with tradition and wanted to have pictures done together before the ceremony–I don’t think I’ll ever forget the look on Joey’s face when he viewed his gorgeous fiance in her wedding dress for the first time. We managed to sneak away at some point during the reception as the sun was setting on their first evening as husband and wife – the light truly was amazing and helped make for some memorable images. Congratulations and I wish you both the best on your move to Ohio!

Nashville Wedding Photography: Amy + Jerry

Amy & Jerry’s wedding was held at the gorgeous Belmont Mansion a couple of weeks ago. I had seen images for years of this incredible venue, but never had the opportunity to visit this building that sits on the edge of Belmont’s campus, just a few blocks from Vanderbilt University. Amy’s original venue (Opryland Hotel) was impacted by the recent flooding in Nashville, but the folks at Belmont did a great job of accommodating couples that were displaced. Here are a few of my favorite images from Amy and Jerry’s Nashville wedding.

Nashville Engagement Photography: Megan + Brad

We began the evening at Cedarwood mansion, where Megan & Brad will be married in October.  We finished up this perfect, early-summer evening in Nashville with a few night pictures at the Parthenon.  I love how they differ so much from the ones done earlier in the evening–here are a few of my favorites.  Thanks Megan & Brad—looking forward to October!

Nashville Wedding Photography: Jennifer + Robbie

Though there were some last minute venue changes due to the flooding that swept through Nashville two weeks ago, everything came together quite nicely on this gorgeous spring day.  These are a few of my favorite images (the earliest one made at ~8 am).  Two of my favorite moments which you’ll see here are when Robbie views his gorgeous bride for the first time before the ceremony – and during the reception, the moment right after Robbie performed a song he had written for Jennifer.  Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hooper!

Camden Engagement Photography: Candace + Danny

I had the pleasure of photographing a great couple in Camden, TN last weekend. We spent a few hours dodging the rain, and I’m glad we were able to fit everything in considering the flooding currently affecting the area. I had a great time capturing their love for each other (I think you can tell they had a good time also) — and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Lazy Weekend

For those that don’t know, our dog Layla likes to unzip her bed and burrow into it daily.  The 3 minutes or so it takes for her to do this is pretty entertaining.  I still need to throw up a few pictures from our NYC trip last week, but I’m now going to enjoy the insanely gorgeous weather—who would’ve thought after the torrential downpour we had yesterday it would be so nice today?  Off to Camden, TN later this afternoon to do an engagement session—really looking forward to finally meeting Candace & her fiance.

Chattanooga Family Photography – Boyd

I recently had the opportunity to spend time with some really good friends of mine and couldn’t turn Chad down when he asked if I could make some images of his family.  We were blessed with some extremely awesome weather & a serene setting just south of Chattanooga, TN.  It really was a perfect Spring evening.

A Nashville Family – Samuelson

The last time I took pictures for the Samuelson family, their youngest (seen below) couldn’t even walk yet–it’s amazing how quickly children grow.  Here are a few of my favorite images from our session at Centennial Park.
